Your work assignments

Working alongside other chemists and technicians, your role involves developing manufacturing processes for our advanced materials. The chemical reactions that chemists have developed on a gram scale, you further develop on a ton scale, conducting thermodynamic calculations around reactions and design equipment. A significant aspect of your work is devising methods for incorporating active materials in powder form, along with fibers and binders into 3D-structured media (sorption rotors and humidification pads) using techniques like paper manufacturing, impregnation, corrugation, molding, extrusion, 3D printing. Your primary focus will be on prototypes in the development phase, but you will also collaborate with the factory when it transitions to full-scale production. You will be responsible for designing test equipment and test rigs in the laboratory, necessitating knowledge of P&ID design, sensor technology and basic PLC programming. You will also manage the construction and commissioning of equipment in collaboration with internal and external resources. Seeking inspiration from scientific literature and by visiting scientific conferences will be part of your routine. You actively looking for collaborations with universities and companies. Working closely with colleagues, you will run Research & Technology projects to develop the materials and process technology of the future and integrate them into product development projects. Given the hands-on nature of this position, a practical mindset is essential. Your role will also involve close involvement with production, including participation in investment projects for new production equipment, scale-up trials, and problem solving in the event of production disruptions.
